Excursion Program Samana

Jeep Safari – Samana Adventure (full day)

We will be leaving the hotel in Jeeps to discover the amazing flora of Samana. The contrast of the red earth and the green mountains is extraordinary.

Our first stop will be at a typical Dominican farm where we can see the different plantations, like cacao, coffee and fruits. After experiencing the local Dominican feeling at the farm we will be heading for Playa del Valle, a beautiful virgin beach where we can let our Caribbean dreams come true by enjoying the sea, sand and sun.

After the beach we will be continuing our adventure with a visit to the beautiful Lulu waterfalls, in the middle of the tropical Dominican jungle. This is where we will enjoy a refreshing bath and enjoy the jungle feeling. After we are all cooled down again, we will be ready for our next stop; the banana plantation. Here we will also find our restaurant where we will be enjoying a typical Dominican lunch… surrounded by pure nature.

When we all have refilled our energy, we will be continuing in our jeeps and heading for Monte Roja and Loma de la Piña. With a height of almost 500 meters (1600 ft) above sea level and an amazing view over Samana Bay and Cayo Levantado, these natural view spots will be a spectacular end of an amazing day.

Samana Bay Catamaran Cruise – Cayo Levantado and Point Lirio (full day)

We will pick you up in one of our buses to drive you along the north coast to the peninsula of Samana. Along the way you will see a natural border of coconut palm trees.

Once arrived at a small harbor we will be changing the bus for a catamaran which will sail you to the island of Cayo Levantado.

The amazing views of the crystal clear waters of Samana Bay and the amazing coastlines filled with pure white sand will give you an exotic and Caribbean feeling. Lunch (included) will be served on the beach and some free time to spend until it is time to head back to the hotel. This catamaran cruise will make your holidays an unforgettable memory.

“El Limon” Falls (full day)

BLeaving the hotel in the morning by bus for a quick ride to a typical Dominican ranch, where we will start enjoying the beautiful sights that is offering Samana. On the ranch we will experience how the Dominicans are living, working and cooking. Here they will prepare the typical Dominican lunch for when we arrive at the falls.

We will continue our journey on a horse (every client will ride its own horse with a personal guide) until we finally arrive at the Dominican Republic’s most impressive waterfalls “El Limon”. Here we will have enough time to take pictures, bathing underneath the falls or simply enjoy the nature and beautiful views of this area for an incredible experience. Once we have enjoyed and relaxed, we will be riding back to the ranch where they have prepared us a well deserved and typical native lunch. Tasty like few other dishes.

In the afternoon, before returning to our resort, we will have a last stop at one of the area’s beautiful beaches for a quick bath and a moment to relax and think over this great experience we just have had.

Natural Park “Los Haitises” - By boat (full day)

Leaving from the harbor of Samana to one of the Dominican Republic’s most spectacular natural parks, Los Haitises.

After a 30 minutes boat ride, we will be arriving at San Lorenzo Bay, (portion cut) where we will be visiting the “La Arena” cave. After this stop we will be continuing visiting Ferrocarril Harbor and the “La Linea” cave.

La Galeras & Rincon Beach – Combined (full day)

In this great excursion we will get to know one of Samana’s most beautiful areas. Today we will enjoy a boat ride, snorkeling time and a horse ride.

Land transportation will bring us to the area of Las Galeras, where we will be offered a welcome drink and go onboard to set course to Rincon Beach. Before arriving on Rincon Beach we will have a snorkeling stop near Colorada Beach to discover the marine life of this area.

  
Once we have set foot on Rincon Beach, we can enjoy some free time to relax on this amazing beach until we are ready for a nice lunch. After lunch we will be heading back to Las Galeras… by horse so we can enjoy the spectacular views of the area, including amazing panoramic views of Playa Colorada (where we have snorkelled). Once we have arrived in Las Galeras, we will end this unforgettable day and make our way back to Samana.
